When I think about branding, two paths stand out: Personal & Business.

They’re like two sides of the same coin, Each with its own unique flavor and approach.

Let’s talk about personal branding first.

It’s the creator’s way, isn’t it?

When you’re building a personal brand, you’re essentially creating art.

You’re not really looking for immediate feedback or approval.

You’re looking for personal growth.

It’s about building timeless skills and principles like: Consistency, resilience, knowledge, value creation, entertainment, and more.

This path builds you as a person.

It builds your character as much as it builds your brand.

For me, It’s always been more about the journey than the destination.

The followers, the likes, the metrics – They all come in their own time, often when you least expect them.

Now, switching gears to business branding.

This one’s a different ball game.

It requires a different stack of income-generating skills:

  • Selling
  • marketing
  • Offer building
  • Market research
  • Positioning
  • Operations
  • Hiring

This journey is about the service you do for others.

It’s a path that requires understanding people’s desires, needs and wants.

The money comes if you successfully improve other people’s lives.

I’ve seen many folks with a massive following struggle because they don’t know how to monetize effectively.

They think the followers will do the work for them, but it doesn’t quite work that way.

Followers don’t automatically translate into sales.

On the flip side,

I’ve met many business leaders who have all the right strategies and know-how to make money.

But here’s the catch – They often miss out on the personal touch.

They crave the social interaction, recognition, and reputation that a personal brand brings.

So, where does that leave us?

I believe the sweet spot lies in blending the two, the personal with the business.

It’s having that personal, creative side that we all crave as humans, along with the business savvy needed to survive and thrive.

There’s no right or wrong way here.

It’s all about finding where you stand tall and focusing more on that. And then recognizing where you fall short and working to fill those gaps.

High-net-worth individuals have 3 personal branding assets in common,
These assets can either make or break their business (no, It’s not social media influence):

  1. An educational email course that documents their expertise, builds up their authority and generates leads on autopilot.
  2. A monetization blueprint. Let’s be real, you rather have 100k followers or $100k in your bank account?
  3. An irresistible offer that people feel stupid saying no to.
